Growl & what?
Growl & Grandeur! A simple name, yet one of curious contrast. Growl (groul) n. Low gruff menacing sound made by an animal. [Origin, Old French] Grandeur (gran, djoor) n. Magnificent. Nobility or greatness of character. [Origin, Middle English]
A name developed out of a necessity to include the things most important to the brand & what it will achieve. A sense of pride, a slight bark at all things authority & a love of all things hound.
How environmentally friendly is a clothing company?
All of our clothing is 'EarthPositive'. This means, they're produced from organic materials (sometimes sweaters have a mix). We work with suppliers who assure us that everything is created with green renewable energy (reduced carbon footprint of 90%). All printed with eco-friendly waterbased ink in the west Country, so they don't travel too far. Everything is also fair trade, so it's not just the us & the printers who get their fair share.
I am a top entrepreneur like that Alan Sugar bloke. I see potential in your company, how much do you want for it?
I'll take a big house by the sea & 356 Porsche outlaw brimming with an obscene number of unmarked £50 notes. A bottomless KFC Bucket & as many doggy treats as the hounds can eat.
How can I contact Growl & Grandeur?
Get in touch via social media or you can fire off an old-fashioned email to [email protected]. Send me an actual letter & I'll assume it's a bill, a summons or my Foreign Legion recall papers. Basically, I'll ignore it.
How can I pay for my order?
We accept payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express or regular bank account payments - all through PayPal. Unfortunately we do not accept cash or cheque. Flatfish, Groats, camels & left-over holiday money are only taken by personal negotiation.
How much is postage?
Postage within the UK is a flat rate £3.50, multiple items will result in a reduced rate per item overall, this is calculated on checkout before you pay. No need to get the abacus out.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, Paypal calculates & shows you the postage costs on your order before you pay. We want you to order from abroad, so we try to keep the postage costs lower than my cousin Ray's slammed '67 Beetle. Depending on your delivery location & order size, your order might be subject to import taxes imposed by the country of delivery. If your country does have taxes on imports, these import taxes are not covered by the postage charge on your order with Growl & Grandeur and you will be required to pay them to receive your package. They'll tax anything now-a-days
Where is my order / How long will my order take to arrive?
UK orders should arrive within 2-5 working days & international orders take around a week (depending on how far away you are). However, here in Blighty, the postal service runs at a particularly snail-like pace over festive periods so your order may take a little longer to arrive. British posties hit the mince pies and brandy butter pretty early.
I made a mistake on my order, what should I do?
No worries, we all make mistakes. I once made a cup of gravy instead of coffee. If you made a mistake on your order or would just like to change something, please throw me an email [email protected] & let us know as soon as possible. If your order hasn't already been shipped, we should be able to make the necessary changes. Please be sure to include the order number (if you have it), the name the order was placed under, the email address used for the order & the desired changes. Obviously, it's a lot easier if you get it right first time.
Can I return or exchange an item I have ordered?
Yes, we offer an exchange or refund on all returned items received within 14 days of delivery. All items to be returned unused in the original packaging with tags attached in the condition it was received. So you can't buy it, wear it to Glastonbury Festival & then pop it gently back in the bag. We have a highly trained sniffer dog who will spot that kind of menacing a mile off.
Every receipt of purchase has a returns section at the bottom, fill in the details and send it back with the item. This form must be included otherwise a refund will not be possible. We are not able to include postage and packaging as part of the refund. Unless you want some belly-button fluff. There's loads of that here.
Will you restock sold out items?
The simple answer is, I doubt it. Sometimes we restock popular items. But we like to keep our products as exclusive as possible, after all you don't want every Tom, Dick & 'Arry wearing the same clobber as your good self. With that in mind, we keep each design to a limited run. Keep an eye out for updates on Facebook and Instagram, We don't do Twitter.
Washing Instructions
Machine wash on a cool cycle. 30 degrees is good & you can be proud of yourself for saving the planet. Be sure to wash coloured shirts separately from whites, especially on the first wash. You can expect a teensy bit of shrinkage, too, after normal wash. Try line-drying your shirt if you're not so keen on the 'spray-on' look.
