One afternoon in the late 1940s when Pacific was as flat as a blueberry pancake, disgruntled Californian surfers glued some roller skate wheels to pieces of an old wooden milk crate & invented skateboarding. Since then the sport has come a long way, what with proper boards & proper tricks. We admire people who belt across crumbly bits of concrete on a battered bit of plywood with wheels bolted to it's undercarriage. Skating is all about trial & error, until you master the craft, which is handy because we, at Growl & Grander, are proper crap at it!
