HMS Hood - Mens

Tattoos have always been associated with sailors. Back in the day they bobbed their boats around the Polynesian islands, learning the natives inky needle skills. They then proceeded to scratch away at each other on the way home, aiming to shock dear ol' mum on arrival. Most sailors are more adept at climbing rigging than drawing, hence the simplistic style of the sailor tattoo. Many navies banned tattooing, partly because arms adorned with naked ladies were seen as a bit racy & ships are generally well hard to sail especially when half the crew have septic arms hanging off!
